Paul Norman is the Founding Principal of Twelve12 & Global Talent Advisors, a strategic talent management consulting group built on integrity, innovation, and results.

Prior to launching Twelve12 & Global Talent Advisors Paul was the Director of Recruiting for Rackspace, Vice President of Retail Bank Recruiting at Washington Mutual Bank, and a headhunter in the Biotech industry. Paul and his recruiting teams have hired over 18,000 people across the world.

Notable accomplishments include:

WaMu -- Applied supply chain methodology to build an internal RPO organization utilizing call center employees to improve high-volume recruiting capacity, absorb high workforce plan variability, decrease talent acquisition costs, and maintain a measurable candidate pipeline. Resulted in a 55% cost reduction and model is currently being implemented across the USA for all high-volume branch positions.

Workforce Solutions-Alamo -- Led a team of Board members in redesigning the executive performance management process and implementing 360˚ review. Resulted in higher engagement of Board members, local government partners, and the chief executive of the organization.

Rackspace -- Re-organized the existing corporate Recruiting function leading to $2M+ executive recruitment cost savings and a 22.8% reduction in high-volume position time to fill in the first 12 months.

WaMu -- Over 60% of direct reports were consistently rated “exceeds expectations” or above (average was 35%). Over 25% of direct reports were internally promoted each year.

Rackspace -- Launched a multi-phased, global employment branding strategy including the rebuilding of the corporate career website (www.rackertalent.com), a web 2.0/social media recruiting strategy, and enhancing the candidate experience.

WaMu -- Successfully led the recruitment and full staffing of WaMu’s San Antonio Regional Operations Center, from zero to 2,300+ employees in 3 years. 719 of these positions were full geographic migrations of specific functional departments. 100% of those hires were delivered ahead of schedule and significantly under budget.

A native of Upper Michigan, Paul received his B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Michigan. He is a 2007 San Antonio North Chamber of Commerce Leadership Lab alumnus and a 2010 member of the San Antonio North Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He is also a current member of the Workforce Solutions-Alamo Board of Directors.
